Magnolia is one of the largest neighborhoods in Seattle, and its location near downtown Seattle makes it an ideal choice for people who like city living, but don’t want to be immersed in the traffic and crowding. The area has a suburban, out of the way appeal and that’s just the way the residents like it.
The views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound from Magnolia are breathtaking. It also has Discovery Park, Seattle’s largest, with trails, beaches, and wildlife. About 300 different species of birds are thought to reside in the park and on the waters nearby.
The majority of Magnolia businesses are located on McGraw Street in the heart of town. There are quaint shops, restaurants, hardware and grocery stores. A community center, swimming pool, as well as baseball and soccer fields make this a place for family fun.
Housing options in Magnolia range from mansions with views, large Tudor-style homes, mid-century modern and contemporary styles, to bungalows and smaller homes from the 1940’s and 50’s. A scatter of condos and apartment can be found as well.
